The last week has been something of a mind blower for me as the Black Box Comix really starts to make a push for getting work out there. Refocusing back on Johnny Vega #3 is back on schedule (such as is it is). This is a good thing since I had been hit up to do several other pieces of art for other small comic companies.
Nothing wrong with that kind of exposure I can say.
But nothing beats have a piece of original art leave home for the last time to hopefully find a new place (and appreciation) for the work. That all happened last week up Olympia Washington at the 8th Annual Olympia Comics Festival.
A small venue on what turned into a very nice day.
With artwork and books being sold I think I came out pretty good compared to my peers there.
It's a tough business out there I just managed to be the guy who happened to luck out this time around. HOWEVER I keep my finger crossed that I can sell another piece of artwork at the next show.
But my week was not yet complete as I received an email stating that Johnny Vega #2 had been reviewed by a complete stranger up in Canada. Cool beans!
