About Me

I became interested in art at 6 years of age when my Mother enrolled me in a summer program at the Worcester Museum of Art in Massachusetts, and have been hooked ever since. I have produced thousands of paintings and they are in private collections all over the world. I have belonged to many artist associations for the purpose of networking and exposure and have won many competion and juried shows. I paint full time now and sell both original and limited edition prints of all originals I produce, and also do consignment work of any subject matter. I have taught art but, tell all my students that it's really only technique that I teach because I firmly believe that true artists are born, not created in a classroom. I believe that art predates civilization as evidenced by the renderings on cave walls by prehistoric man and has outlasted many civilizations from the Roman Empire to the ancient Myan and Aztec Empires and will always endure not only as objects of beauty to appreciate for their asthetic qualities in all of arts manifestations but also to serve as a record of times gone by, and the expressions of those that created the art to enable others to see things as they percieve them to be. My paintings and sculptures will live on for hundreds or perhaps thousands of years after I have left this world and if I can influence just one other person along the way I will be proud to be me, Don Williams, Artist!
